A golden fish swimming freely
A golden fish swims freely: ease, fertility and freedom from danger. You move through obstacles as a fish moves through water.
Move with the current.
Free fish or other animals.
The pair of golden fish is one of the eight auspicious symbols. Fish swim freely without fear of drowning, and so stand for beings moving through the ocean of existence without being caught. They are also a symbol of fertility and abundance.
The Golden Female Fish comes up when the first throw of the die shows DHI (wisdom) and the second shows PA (water).
DHI is the seed syllable of Manjushri, the bodhisattva of wisdom. It stands for clear understanding, intelligence and blessing, and it turns almost any throw toward a good outcome.
PA is the syllable of water. It soothes, nourishes and heals, and it carries feeling and enjoyment. Disturbed, water turns murky; dried up, it leaves nothing behind.
