The symbol

The endless knot, one of the eight auspicious symbols, has no beginning and no end. It stands for the interdependence of all things and for the bond between wisdom and compassion, and it is a popular image of lasting love and friendship.

The two throws

The Endless Auspicious Knot comes up when the first throw of the die shows DHI (wisdom) and the second shows RA (fire).

དྷཱི
First: DHI · Wisdom

DHI is the seed syllable of Manjushri, the bodhisattva of wisdom. It stands for clear understanding, intelligence and blessing, and it turns almost any throw toward a good outcome.

ར
Second: RA · Fire

RA is the syllable of fire. It brings energy, warmth, light and the power to make things happen, and with them the risks of fire: haste, anger and burning out.
