A labyrinth is not a maze: there is a single path, and it always leads to the center. Pick a traditional design or type the order in which the path visits the circuits, and the labyrinth draws itself. Then walk it. New to labyrinths? Read about them.

How the sequence works
Number the rings from the outside in, 1 to n. The path comes in on the axis at the bottom, goes almost all the way round one ring, turns next to the axis into the next ring, and so on, turning alternately on the right and on the left of the axis. The Cretan labyrinth visits its rings in the order 3-2-1-4-7-6-5, then reaches the center.
Why some orders don't work
Two turns on the same side of the axis must sit one inside the other, like brackets, or their walls would cross. Of the 5,040 ways to order seven rings, only a few dozen make a labyrinth this way. Surprise me picks one at random.
